The University of Evansville Department of Theatre's admission process uses a highly selective recruitment approach to seek out students with exceptional talent and outstanding academic ability. The result is an extremely motivated group of creative young artists with serious attitudes toward a challenging academic environment and a comprehensive theatre education.

UE Theatre’s pre-professional approach to theatre training is unique. As a department of theatre within a liberal arts and sciences university, the program allows students to gain the broad base of knowledge they will need as theatre artists. Students are also able to receive extensive and individualized theatre training through classroom and production experience.
