Dance and Theatre: Auditions/interviews are required for the following majors:
BA in Dance
BFA in Dance
BFA in Acting
BA in Theatre Arts with concentrations in Theatre Performance, Directing, Design & Technical Production, Producing & Management, or Musical Theatre.
To schedule an audition/interview at a regional site, all applicants are required to use Acceptd to request an audition and submit pre-screen digital portfolios. All pre-screenings must be submitted two weeks prior to the scheduled regional audition date. Please review the program-specific guidelines here for digital requirements. Upon review of these pre-screen materials, applicants will be notified as to whether they will be granted a regional audition/interview. All applicants are strongly encouraged to audition in person. If extraordinary circumstances prevent travel to New York City or a regional site, a digital portfolio may be submitted through Acceptd. Please review the program-specific guidelines here for digital requirements.
Applicants interested in the BA in Theatre Arts major with concentrations in Performance & Digital Media, Writing for the Stage, or Theatre Studies do not require an interview for acceptance. If a student would like to be considered for a Theatre Arts Award in one of the above areas, you are required to upload material through Acceptd. In some cases, a follow up interview may be requested.
Art and Art History: Applicants are required to submit a portfolio for acceptance into the major and for consideration for a competitive award, as well as for placement into the foundational art courses. Applicants may submit their materials through Acceptd or to the Office of Admission at 221 East 71st Street New York, NY 10021. All applicants must also apply for admission to the College through the Office of Admission. Marymount Manhattan accepts the Common Application and offers of admission are made on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The priority deadline for academic scholarship consideration requires that your application be submitted by March 15.
