The application deadline for our 2020 summer programs is February 7, 2020.
The summer lab offers musicians the unique opportunity to perform and teach at socially driven music programs around the world during two-week summer workshops. MusAid seeks to inspire a new generation of globally aware teaching artists and performers.
- Teach individual and group lessons
- Coach orchestra sectionals
- Learn teaching skills from renowned Guest Faculty
- Perform alongside other Fellows and students
- Celebrate cultural exchange through music
Session I: El Salvador - El Sistema, May 28-June 13
- Guest Teaching Artist Trainer: Mary Javian, Chair of Career Studies, Curtis Institute of Music
- Guest Teaching Artist Mentor: Carlos Botero, Musical Ambassador and Assistant Conductor of the Houston Symphony; Principal Conductor of the Instituto Superior de Música del Estado de Veracruz
Seeking the following applicants: Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion
*Basic Spanish proficiency recommended but not required.
Session II: Kolkata Symphony Orchestra and Oxford Mission School, June 29-July 12
- Guest Teaching Artist Trainer: Erin Wight, Teaching Artist for the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall; Curriculu Specialist for The Juilliard School

Violin, Flute, and Clarinet applicants may be considered for both programs by selecting a check box within the application for either program.
