The Artaria Chamber Music Program directs two outstanding chamber music initiatives for high school aged string players. In step with the rich musical traditions of America’s finest music centers, Artaria’s programs provide stimulating environments that promote musical excellence, encourage creativity and leadership skills, and preserve the great tradition of chamber music performance and appreciation.
Artaria Chamber Music School (ACMS)
Regarded as one of the nation's premiere chamber music coaching programs, the Artaria Chamber Music School provides exceptional musical training, leadership skills, and major performing opportunities for high school string players. ACMS quartets have been selected to appear on From the Top in recent years.
Dates: September to May
Application deadline = rolling
TO APPLY: Admission to ACMS is by audition and by recommendation of your private teacher. Complete all required application questions and upload the following items to this website:
1. Introduction video including your verbal responses to the following questions: How did you hear about this program? What do you want to accomplish at this program? What will you contribute to your ACMS group?
2. Unedited video recording of (1) three-octave major or minor scale. Quarter = 50. Slur 4 sixteenths.
3. Unedited video recording of 5-7 minutes of your best and most recent playing.
4. A recommendation letter from your private teacher.
Complete your submission by paying the $60.00 application fee by credit card.
