Company Rep Workshop and Summer Dance Intensive 2024 at Ballet RI

The one-week Company Rep Workshop will give young professionals the opportunity to be introduced to Ballet RI company life and experience our repertoire firsthand. Classes will be taught by Ballet RI Artistic Faculty and Leading Guest Choreographers. 
2024/ 2025 Ballet RI Trainees will be selected exclusively from the workshop. 
Participation in Company Rep Workshop is by invitation only. 

The Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) at Ballet RI offers students the opportunity to study in a professional training environment. Our exceptional roster of teachers includes Ballet RI Faculty and International Guest Teachers who are committed to providing individualized attention to maximize our students success. We provide students with a diverse curriculum, rigorous professional training, as well as interesting and educational field trips to enhance their summer experience. SDI offers a valuable performance experience at the end of the intensive in Ballet RI's own Black Box Theater!

• 1-week Company Rep Workshop
• June 24 - June 28, 2024
• Ages: 16 - Pre-professional

• 5-week Summer Dance Intensive 
• July 15 - August 16, 2024
• Ages: 10 - 22

• The one-week Company Rep Workshop will give young professionals the opportunity to experience Ballet RI repertoire in a workshop setting. Classes will be taught by Ballet RI Artistic Staff and Faculty. Participants will work with Artistic Curator Yury Yanowsky on choreography, receive coaching on classical repertoire, and experience the process of a new creation with a leading guest choreographer.

• 2024-2025 Ballet RI Trainees will be selected exclusively from the workshop.

• SDI is for serious ballet students looking to expand their technique in an artistically supportive and developmentally appropriate environment. A minimum of 2 years of training required.

• Students learn from Ballet RI Faculty as well as Internationally acclaimed Teachers and Artists.

• Additional performance opportunities conclude the program with a showcase performance in Ballet RI's Black Box Theater at the end of the program.

Residential Information

Students who reside with our Summer Dance Intensive will be housed on the historic Rhode Island School of Design campus where they will enjoy experiencing dorm life with their peers and exploring the Cultural Capital of Rhode Island.
