Undergraduate Audition Information
Belmont University does not prescreen for Undergraduate Music or Theatre programs. If you submit materials to Acceptd, these will be reviewed as your audition.
Auditioning at Belmont:
Belmont offers auditions both in-person and via video submission for the 2025-2026 audition cycle. Our in-person audition dates are listed on our website below for both the School of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance.

Important Deadlines:
First-Year Students:
- February 22, 2026: Overall scholarship deadline for in-person and video audition for Fall 2026.
- April 17, 2026: Final video submission deadline for first-year Fall 2026 students.
Transfer Students:
- November 1, 2025: Video audition deadline for transfer students for Spring 2026
- June 17, 2026: Final video submission deadline for transfer applicants Fall 2026
- Please note if you are a transfer who plants to attend orientation during June 2026, you must submit your video by April 17, 2026.

Graduate Prescreening Information
Belmont University prescreens for Graduate Music Programs. The materials you submit to Acceptd will be reviewed as your prescreen materials, and not your formal audition.
Prescreening at Belmont:
Prescreening is completed via video submissions for the 2025-2026 audition cycle. Should an applicant pass their prescreening, they will be invited to an in-person audition. Our prescreening submission deadlines and in-person audition dates are listed below and on our website.
Video/audio editing, mixing, or re-mastering of any kind is not permitted for prescreening submissions. Any materials received that have been altered will result in an automatic denial.
Graduate School of Music Application Process
Important Deadlines:
- October 5, 2025: Final prescreening submission deadline for Spring 2026 admission.
- December 14, 2025: 1st Priority prescreening submission deadline for Fall 2026 admission.
- January 11, 2026: 2nd Priority prescreening submission deadline for Fall 2026 admission.
- February 15, 2026: Final prescreening submission deadline for Fall 2026 admission.
- November 14, 2025: Final in-person audition day for Spring 2026 admission.
- January 30, 2026: 1st Priority in-person audition day for Fall 2026 admission.
- February 27, 2026: 2nd priority in-person audition day for Fall 2026 admission.
- March 27, 2026: Final in-person audition day for Fall 2026 admission.
