Application Process

Music is a dual-admission program. Students must be accepted to both BJU and the Division of Music in order to major or minor in music.

The Online Music Application is required for new students who plan to major in music and also serves as the application for music scholarship consideration. Music scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional skill and aptitude in music, academic achievement, and church and community service. All students majoring in music or double majoring in music and another field are eligible to be considered for a music scholarship. Each applicant must submit a personal essay about the role of music in their life, their proposed major, and their goals in music.
