Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra - a tuition-free ensemble with a motto of “shaping future leaders through music.” As a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, you will be at the forefront of Boston’s classical music scene, working with Maestro Benjamin Zander and performing at historic venues such as Boston Symphony Hall and Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. You will also be immersed in a group of talented, devoted young musicians ages 12 to 21, and have the opportunity to participate in an international summer concert tour at the conclusion of every season. Recent destinations include South Africa, Greece, Brazil, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Spain, and Switzerland. BPYO has also performed three concerts at Carnegie Hall.
