2022 CalASTA San Francisco Solo Competition
Applications accepted March 1 - 31, 2022
Final Round: May 15th, 2022. Live round at St. Alban's Church* 1501 Washington Ave, Albany.
*This venue requires that all persons who enter their facilities be vaccinated and masked. Covid regulations permitting, a limited number of audience members will be allowed to observe the finals. Please contact asta.sanfrancisco@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns about performing in person as we may be able to offer finalists the option to perform live via zoom or some other video conferencing technology for the judges.

The San Francisco section of CalASTA welcomes student members and private students of professional members to apply for the 2022 annual Solo Competition. There are three categories*

Novice, students under 12 years old
Junior, students 13-18 years old
Senior, students 19-25 years old

*age as of June 1, 2022

Prize winners can receive up to $300 and may be advanced to the state level competition, which takes place in 2022. All students will receive comments from the jury.

The Housewright Awards
Applications accepted March 20 - April 20, 2022

We are pleased to announce a separate, new competition category---open to active student members and students of active SF CalASTA members---who are enrolled in their school music programs. Proof of enrollment must be provided. Qualified teacher members can be both school orchestra teachers and/or private teachers. A maximum of three participants will receive up to $100 in cash prizes or private lessons, depending on the choice of the recipient. All students will receive comments from the jury.
