Capital University Conservatory of Music

Thank you for your interest in the Capital University Conservatory of Music!

Capital has a long history of transforming talented and dedicated students into well-prepared musicians. We offer a challenging, comprehensive curriculum with a strong music core. We follow your progress closely to ensure that you are getting the most out of your education.

With a 4:1 student to faculty ratio in the Conservatory of Music, our faculty members pride themselves on their ability to understand their students. They advise. They mentor. They connect students. In short, our faculty offer individual attention to help you reach your goals.

We believe in rewarding students for their achievements! 100% of our accepted, first-time students receive scholarships from Capital. Last year, our average award was more than $17,000 renewable. If you're smart and talented, we want you here!

Students planning to earn a bachelor of music through the Capital University Conservatory of Music follow a two-step process to become fully admitted.

  1. Apply for academic acceptance to Capital University by submitting the admission application online by December 1st. (Applying by Dec. 1 guarantees consideration for all merit scholarships up to full-tuition.)

  2. Complete an audition one of three ways:

           a) Choose a scheduled group audition day in Jan, Feb or March

           b) Make an individual appointment to audition on campus

           c) Use this website (Acceptd) for a virtual audition online
