The Governor's School for the Arts and Virginia Musical Theatre, in partnership, presents Coastal Broadway Collaborative.

Coastal Broadway Collaborative (CBC) is an intense three week long pre-professional training program for aspiring theater and musical theater performers ages 10-19.  CBC accepts participants by audition only and aims to prepare students for success in both the collegiate and professional arenas by providing a tailored curriculum of core classes in acting, singing, and dancing, as well as master classes in various disciplines and special topics including college auditions, song interpretation, the business of theater and more.

Faculty and guests artists change year to year and may be composed of a variety of working industry professionals such as current Broadway cast members, television and film actors, casting directors, musical theater composers, choreographers, college professors, etc. The three-week intensive culminates with a fully staged revue style production to showcase the students and their efforts. The performance is open to the public.

The Live Audition will be held at The Governor’s for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. Video Auditions will be accepted for those students unable to attend the live audition. Please keep in mind that students will be accepted to the program on a rolling basis and enrollment for The INTENSIVE is limited to 60 students.
