    • Dance applicants auditioning virtually should upload videos for the solo, ballet, and modern auditions; please also schedule a virtual interview time.

    • No matter if you come to campus or meet with us online, the itinerary includes an overview of our dance program, excerpts from our upcoming Dance Concert performed in our dance spaces, and teaching demonstrations by CSU Dance faculty for prospective students to observe or participate in. Prospective students (and parents/guardians) will have an opportunity to ask questions of the faculty and current students during a Q&A session.
    • Registration for in-person and virtual visit sessions is required.

This CSU Dance program and audition application is for undergraduate applicants who are applying to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance as a Dance major. This application is a request to audition, and is not a guarantee of acceptance into the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance or Colorado State University.

Once your application is complete, you may sign up for your interview.

  • Applicants attending the on-campus Dance Visit and Audition Experience will interview during the event. Register for the on-campus experience here.
  • Applicants auditioning virtually will schedule a Zoom interview; select your time slot after you submit your program application on this website.

Notification of audition results are released within three weeks after completing both the audition and interview with the Dance faculty.

Audition Overview
