We are now accepting membership applications for Prelude, Etude, Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras.

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Youth Orchestras (CSOYO) provides the finest quality orchestral training and performance opportunities for aspiring young musicians in the greater Chattanooga area.
Members of the CSOYO have opportunities to perform under the direction of professional conductors, attend sectional workshops with members of the CSO Orchestra, compete for scholarships, perform solos, participate in small ensembles, and build relationships with other fine young musicians. Reorganized in 1985 through the passion of local educators and parent volunteers, the CSOYO is entering its 37th year developing the talents of young musicians.

The CSOYO has four orchestras, and applicants should select the appropriate orchestra for their audition based on their musical skill and maturity. Private teachers and school music directors can help musicians choose by evaluating the audition materials for each orchestra and the musician's proficiency. The Prelude and Etude orchestras are strings only. The Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras include both strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Please see the eligibility information under your instrument (program) to determine the best fit.
