JULY 17 - AUGUST 3, 2025 | ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI

Applications will be accepted starting Monday, Dec. 9. Deadline to submit is Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 11:59pm CST.
The Muny, America's premiere summer musical theater, hosts a one-of-a-kind intensive for emerging young artists. This three-week program in St. Louis invites 12 rising junior and senior high school students from across the nation to participate in an immersive theatrical experience of a lifetime!

As part of the Summer Intensive, participants will perform in a world-class production of DEAR EVAN HANSEN for an audience of up to 11,000 nightly. Share the Muny stage and forge direct relationships with Broadway’s and TV's biggest stars. In addition to putting on a great show, participants will challenge themselves in college-level classes led by faculty members from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, as well as other industry professionals.

The first portion of the Intensive introduces you to the professional life of a performer at The Muny. Students work under the direction of a Broadway creative team, as well as The Muny’s artistic and education staff, to rehearse an epic show in 11 days. In the evenings, during the rehearsal process, students enjoy unlimited access to some of the brightest creative talents from Broadway, television and The Muny through intimate masterclasses and workshops. Masterclass instructors have included Jeanine Tesori (Kimberly Akimbo; Fun Home; Caroline, or Change; Shrek The Musical; Thoroughly Modern Millie; Violet), two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!, Peter and the Starcatcher, Falsettos, NBC’s Smash), Tony Award nominee Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls, Bring It On: The Musical, NBC’s Kenan) and Jessica Vosk (Wicked, Bridges of Madison County, Fiddler on the Roof).

In the second half of the Intensive, students receive pre-collegiate training from the guest artists and faculty members through studio classes held at the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. Classes include song study, acting, musical theatre dance, improv and audition technique.

We are seeking bright, talented performers with a hunger to learn and grow from every experience. You must possess a strong voice, be an excellent dancer with strong ballet/jazz technique, and have the ability to connect with an audience to tell a story. Only 12 junior and senior high school students will be accepted. This means you are entering your junior/senior year in fall 2025.

We are accepting submissions Dec. 9, 2024, through March 2, 2025. Deadline to submit is Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

To apply, please submit an online application, headshot and resume, as well as 3 videos through Acceptd.
