Frost Summer Jazz Bass Camp - University of Miami: Coral Gables, Florida

June 12-16, 2023

The Summer Jazz Bass Camp at the Frost School of Music is not a typical “summer camp.”
The program curriculum focuses on students developing their artistry and preparing them for college.
Students will cultivate both individual and collaborative skills.

Subjects covered in the program include both artistic and vocational training.
Jazz theory and harmony, composition, music technology, recording and production,
and entrepreneurship in the music industry are all included in the curriculum.

Additional benefits of this program include our unique College Prep Workshops –
From Audition to Graduation - designed to help prepare students who are interested in
majoring in music and jazz studies in college.

The Frost Summer Jazz Bass Camp caters to high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
Applicants must display some level of proficiency on their instrument.
The audition process requires submitting a video performance and a one-paragraph essay
through the Acceptd audition portal.
