Thank you for your interest in applying to The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. All undergraduate applicants must complete both the UC Application, as well as our School of Music Supplemental Application, found here on Acceptd. The Supplemental Application will ask you to upload relevant prescreening media; be sure to check out the page of the program you are interested in applying to in order to see exactly what the requirements are. If invited to audition, you will also use Acceptd for scheduling and/or submission of final recorded materials.

UC Application
Please note that only applicants who complete the UC application and indicate a School of Music major as their first choice major will have their supplemental applications reviewed. Review of the Supplemental Application is also only guaranteed for that first choice major indicated on the UC application; please do not submit two separate Supplemental Applications, as only the first choice major application will be reviewed. UCLA only considers first choice majors at the time of application (not alternate majors), and does not admit students into double major programs at the time of application; all double major students declare the secondary major after admission. There is a nonrefundable $85 fee for submission of the Supplemental Application, though this fee can be waived with valid proof of a UC waiver.

- August 1: Fall 2024 application opens.
- October 1: Submission period for the Fall 2024 application begins. Financial aid - FAFSA and Cal Grant Verification Form opens for applicants to all terms.
- November 30 at 11:59pm PST: Deadline to submit the Fall 2024 application.
- August 1: Fall 2024 application requirements are updated and viewable.
- October 1: Submission period for the Fall 2024 application begins (please note that you will need the UC application ID from your completed application to submit your Supplemental Application).
- December 4 (at the latest): Contact Acceptd for a fee waiver, if needed. See fee waiver instructions here.
- December 5 at 11:59 pm PST: Deadline to submit the Fall 2024 application.
