Add your voice, vision, and talent to the Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, a community of dreamers and difference makers.

A Message from the MTD Admission Team
At Ithaca College, we value all voices and encourage you to bring your authentic self to your audition or interview. Throughout the application process, our Faculty and Admission Team will always seek potential over perfection and look forward to discovering the unique perspectives and backgrounds you could bring to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance community.

Our team strives to foster equitable and inclusive practices in our application process, while identifying areas where additional attention is needed to affect change. As a School dedicated to elevating the presence of underrepresented artists, we encourage IC applicants to consider including audition repertoire selections composed by a diverse array of identities. With such a wide selection of repertoire, we invite applicants to include selections by individuals identifying as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and/or women.

APPLICATION PROCESS
STEP 1:
Apply to Ithaca College via the Common App.

STEP 2: Apply to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance by uploading audition or interview material. You can start this process by selecting a Center in the "Start an Application" box on the left side of this page.

STEP 3: Apply for financial aid.

NOTE: Both the Common App and Acceptd application (with pre-screen materials if required) must be received in order for your materials to be evaluated.

NOTE: Applicants interested in applying to two degree programs should contact us to see if a second application is needed. If a second application is needed we will provide a code to waive the second application fee. Please do not submit two applications until you have heard from us.

AFTER YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

Schedule Your Audition or Interview: If the program you applied to requires pre-screen materials, the Center will review those materials and invite successful applicants to schedule an audition or interview. If the program you applied to does not require pre-screen materials, you will receive a confirmation of your indicated audition or interview date via email. We typically let applicants know if they are invited to audition or interview on a rolling basis starting in October.

You can find more information about the Center for Music audition and interview dates, locations, and schedules here and the Center for Theatre and Dance audition and interview dates, locations, and schedules here.

Wait for Your Decision: The hardest part! Offers of admission typically go out on a rolling basis starting March 1. We appreciate your patience!
