The Jazz Education Network (JEN) is a community where educators, students, pros and aficionados share and learn from each other online and in person at the annual conference.

You are invited to apply to one our programs designed to assist aspiring artists in their goals in the field of jazz.

JEN's growing selection of scholarships are offer students the opportunity to further their knowledge, understanding, and expertise in their chosen field of jazz.

SISTERS IN JAZZ COLLEGIATE COMBO
Applications open April 14 - October 15.
Application Deadline - October 15, 2024
In an effort to support JEN's overall commitment to represent and cultivate diversity and inclusion in jazz, the Jazz Education Network (JEN) Women in Jazz Committee has re-established the Sisters in Jazz Collegiate Combo Competition. Through this exemplary program, full-time university students identifying as young women or non-binary jazz artists ages 18-29 will audition and be selected to perform in the Sisters in Jazz quintet. Selected participants will work with a well-known jazz artist/educator and other renowned jazz artists/teachers and premier their performance at the 2025 JEN Conference in Atlanta, GA.

YOUNG COMPOSERS SHOWCASE
Applications open February 1 - June 1.
Application Deadline - June 1, 2024, 11:59pm.
The Young Composer Showcase spotlights young jazz composers, giving students an opportunity to have an original composition recognized and performed at an international level. Selected participants will work with a mentor and premier their performance at the 2025 JEN Conference in Atlanta, GA.
