The Josef Gingold Festival Chamber Music of Miami
The Gingold Chamber Music Festival of Miami offers the advanced instrumentalist and ensembles a unique opportunity of performance and study with some of the world’s leading pedagogues and performing artists. The program provides private lessons, studio classes, master classes, and an array of nonmusical lectures on relevant historical societal challenges as well as career management workshops. Important performance elements include concert offerings by the Gingold Virtuosi, a unique ensemble comprised of faculty artists alongside selected festival young artist participants. These concerts offer a range of chamber ensemble performances that includes piano trios, string quartets and quintets performing a wide array of concert repertoire. A recent international roster of guest artists includes Elmar Oliveira, Emanuel Ax, Julian Rachlin, Gil Shaham, Gary Hoffman, Sarah McElravy, Roberto Diaz, David Harding, Gerard Schwarz and Nicola Benedetti, among others. In addition to the Artistic and Musical Director, Andrés Cárdenes, the festival’s core faculty include Gary Levinson, Michael Klotz, Yuriy Bekker, Anne Martindale Williams, Andrés Diaz, and Wendy Chen.
As we celebrate the transformative power of music, we hope that you will join us and commence building new connections and new friendships, while creating new and profound music-making experiences.
