APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED!
Due to a high number of inquiries and unfinished applications, we extended the application deadline. The new and final deadline is Sunday, March 5th, 2023 before 11:59pm EST.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- The Kent Blossom Music Festival is open to musicians of all ages, ranging from advanced high school conservatory students to post-doctoral professionals.
- Participants will arrive on campus on Sunday, July 2nd, before 4 p.m. (the first day of the festival) for registration.
- Final event will conclude in the evening of August 5th. That evening our students will perform in a side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra under the baton of Maestro David Robertson at Blossom Music Center. Also, the same evening, the Kent Blossom Music Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of The Cleveland Orchestra's Assistant Conductor Daniel Reith.
- Check-out will be on Sunday, August 6th.
- Festival Costs:
- Program Fee: $1,200
- Scholarships are available and awarded based on financial need. Please click here to apply for a scholarship.
- Housing Accommodations: KSU Residence Hall, $1,500 per student
- A payment of $2,700 must be received by May 30th, 2023
- Parking: $25 (if you plan to have a vehicle on campus)
- Meals (on your own, estimated cost): $600 (this is not a fee due to KBMF)
- Program Fee: $1,200

- Recommendation letter: If you are in need of financial assistance, please let your recommender know to include a brief statement supporting your request for financial aid in your recommendation letter by March 5th, 2023 before 11:59pm EST.
