Perform side-by-side with The Cleveland Orchestra!

Deadline to submit an application is Sunday, February 16th, 2025 before 11:59pm EST.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

  • The Kent Blossom Music Festival is open to musicians of all ages, ranging from advanced high school, conservatory students to post-doctoral professionals.
    • Acceptance to the program is based on your application, letter of recommendation, and video audition. 
  • Participants will arrive on campus on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, before 4 p.m. (the first day of the festival) for registration.
  • Final event will conclude in the evening of Saturday, July 26th, 2025. That evening our students will perform in a side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Jonathon Heyward at Blossom Music Center. Also, the same evening, the Kent Blossom Music Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of The Cleveland Orchestra's Assistant Conductor Daniel Reith.
  • Check-out will be on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, before Noon.
  • Festival Costs:
    • Application Fee: $50
    • Program Fee: $3,500
      • Scholarships are available and awarded based on financial need. Please click here to apply for a scholarship.
    • Housing Accommodations: KSU Residence Hall, $2,000 per student
    • A payment of $5,500 must be received by May 31st, 2025
    • Parking: $25 (if you plan to have a vehicle on campus)
    • Meals (on your own, estimated cost): $600 (this is not a fee due to KBMF)
