Kent Blossom Music Festival

Join us for our 56th season: June 23rd - July 28th, 2024
Due to a high number of inquiries and unfinished applications, we extended the application deadline. The new and final deadline is Thursday, February 15th, 2024 before 11:59pm EST.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

• The Kent Blossom Music Festival is open to musicians of all ages, ranging from advanced high school, conservatory students to post-doctoral professionals.
  • Acceptance to the program is based on your application, letter of recommendation, and video audition. 
• Participants will arrive on campus on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, before 4 p.m. (the first day of the festival) for registration.

• Final event will conclude in the evening of Saturday, July 27th, 2024. That evening our students will perform in a side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Hannu Lintu at Blossom Music Center. Also, the same evening, the Kent Blossom Music Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of The Cleveland Orchestra's Assistant Conductor Daniel Reith.
• Check-out will be on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, before Noon.

• Festival Costs:
  • Application Fee: $50
  • Program Fee: $1,300
    • Scholarships are available and awarded based on financial need. Please click here to apply for a scholarship.
  • Housing Accommodations: KSU Residence Hall, $1,500 per student
  • A payment of $2,800 must be received by May 20th, 2024
  • Parking: $25 (if you plan to have a vehicle on campus)
  • Meals (on your own, estimated cost): $600 (this is not a fee due to KBMF)
