Set in the summer resort community of Lake George, New York for two weeks each August, the Lake George Music Festival (LGMF) is a collaborative artist retreat. Our “side by side” approach pairs Festival mentors with a roster of talented young fellows. All participants attend solely as a way to advance intellectually, artistically, and professionally; working closely together in a tight-knit community and nurturing atmosphere.

Applications will be accepted for violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, percussion, harp, and piano.

Composers must apply to the Composer's Institute. 

The final deadline to apply for the Composer's Institute is January 1st, 2024 at 11:59pm.
The final deadline to apply for all instrumental programs and the conducting program is February 1st, 2024 at 11:59pm.

Starting in 2024, 95% of all fellows will receive some amount of scholarship. Consideration for scholarship will be based on both financial need and merit.
