The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts provides personalized and intensive classroom instruction and stage experience to prepare students for performance careers. Students receive a rigorous grounding in history, literature, theories and methodologies of classical and contemporary theatre arts, and work with professional musicians, designers and playwrights. Students also have a variety of opportunities to perform on our Post Theatre Company main stage, directed by renowned New York City directors.  LIU Post offers a BFA in Acting or Musical Theatre. The 120-credit program is selective and acceptance into the program requires an in-person or virtual audition. Theatre Audition/Interview Requirements 

Students should prepare two short contrasting contemporary monologues preferably from published plays. Monologues should be from characters aged within 5 – 7 years of student's actual age. Students interested in Musical Theatre should substitute 32 bars of a song for one monologue. Total audition time is 3 minutes.
