Welcome to Methodist University!  If you are looking for a small school atmosphere and big-time training in the music, art, or graphic design, you have found the perfect home for your college experience!  While located in a city with roughly 210,000 people, at Methodist, you are more than a number.  You will work in your major from the very first day on campus and directly with professors in your field.  While coursework is largely similar at all colleges and universities, our intimate environment allows students to explore their personal arts interests in depth with some of the finest professors in their field.  "The very best thing about the arts at Methodist is our people," shares Dr. Susan Durham-Lozaw, Head of the Division of Fine and Performing Arts, "I am honestly so lucky to work alongside brilliant professors in every course and with a student population that is engaging, curious, and welcoming to all."

  • Students auditioning for undergraduate music programs have the option of an in-person audition on campus, live virtually through Acceptd, or by recorded audition submitted through Acceptd.
  • Students applying for admission to art or graphic design programs can submit materials through the Acceptd platform.
  • All students should apply for admission to the university, as no aid or scholarship dollars can be awarded without admission to the university.  University materials can be found at www.methodist.edu/admissions-aid/apply/
