Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha

After much deliberation, Music for All has determined that it will be unable to hold the 2022 Music for All National Festival.

By canceling this yearly event now for 2022, we can protect potential applicants from making travel and fundraising plans and from spending additional time preparing for the application. Cancellation now also allows directors to adjust their plans for the 2022 second semester.

“The decision to not hold the 2022 Festival is a consequence of COVID-19 and its lingering impact on schools, venues, and organizational soundness,” says Music for All President and CEO Jeremy Earnhart. “We look forward to being back with the Music for All National Festival in 2023.”

We encourage directors to consider participating in the 2021-2022 school year Affiliate Regional Music Festivals. The full schedule for Affiliate Regional Music Festivals will be updated soon at festival.musicforall.org/affiliates.

THE MUSIC FOR ALL NATIONAL FESTIVAL

The Music for All National Festival audition process offers a unique opportunity, serving as a tool you can use to take your program to the next level. All auditioning ensembles receive recorded and written evaluation feedback from the evaluation panel.

The evaluation is “blind”–ensembles are not identified in the audition process. Evaluators recommend ensembles that demonstrate an exemplary level of excellence to receive an invitation to perform at the Music for All National Festival.

A completed application consists of the completed online Festival application form submitted with the audition recordings, administrator signatures, and application fee.

Obligation if Accepted: Submission of your application is a commitment to attend and perform if accepted (unless you select the “Input Only” box on your application). You will be obligated to attend if invited; please be sure that you have booster and administrative support and approval prior to applying.

“Input Only” Audition Option: Ensembles who want the evaluation and input from the panel of audition evaluators, but who do not wish to receive consideration for an invitation to the Festival can choose to send a recording and application for input only by checking the “Input Only Option” box on the online application.

Application Fee: The application fee is $250 for each applicant ensemble.
