Students may apply to Millikin using the Common App or through our website at There is no fee to apply.

Audition Information

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and welfare of our campus community, visiting guests, and prospective students during the Coronavirus pandemic, the School of Theatre and Dance will move all auditions for our BFA programs in Acting and Musical Theatre to a digital format.  We will also be suspending the Pre-Screen requirement for performance auditions and will view and consider all digital submissions for admission to our BFA programs.  Students who are Pre-Screening at other institutions may opt to use the Common Pre-Screen guidelines for their submissions to Millikin, or they may use the guidelines typically required for our on-campus auditions.  Millikin Audition Requirements.

After our performance faculty have reviewed your materials one of the following will occur:

  • You will receive a letter with the results of your audition
  • You will be invited to do a digital call-back in which we may ask for additional material or to make adjustments to your original selections and upload them to GetAcceptd
Digital Submission Deadlines

Because of our rolling acceptance approach to admission into the BFA programs, students will learn the results of their audition within approximately 4-6 weeks after submitting their digital materials.  Please refer to the following timetable when making your submission.

  • Materials submitted by November 6th will be evaluated by December 11th.
  • Materials submitted by December 11th will be evaluated by January 15th

  • Materials submitted by February 19th will be evaluated by March 26th
  • Materials submitted by March 26th will be evaluated by April 30th
  • Final Deadline for all submissions is April 1st, 2021

The Millikin University Office of Admission is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 academic year.  The review of those applications will begin in mid-September and will continue on a rolling basis.  The admission process typically takes 2-4 weeks from the time all of your application materials have been received and admission packets including decision letters are sent via US mail.  We thank you in advance for your patience as we consider all options to ensure a safe and smooth audition experience.
