APPLY to Missouri State to Find Your Forte in Music

We are excited about your interest in the Department of Music at Missouri State University, an All Steinway School. The University is also an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Our expert faculty—accomplished musicians devoted to developing your talent—will provide one-on-one guidance. Whether you pursue performance, composition, education, scholarship or plan to blend your love of music with other interests, our programs will help you reach your goals.

All applicants must complete an Acceptd audition form, through which pre-screening and auditions will be scheduled.

Music is a dual admission program. Students must be admitted to both Missouri State University and the Department of Music in order to major or minor in Music. The minor in composition does not require an audition.
