Program Objectives: To thoroughly prepare students for a career in Musical Theatre, focusing on true triple-threat training and professionalism.

Brief History of the School and the Department: Molloy University/CAP21 offers a unique opportunity for students to experience a traditional college campus life, along with exciting urban studio training. Students will live on-campus at our beautiful Rockville Centre location, located 40 minutes via LIRR from Manhattan. They will travel together to Molloy's Manhattan Center studios (2 days a week as first-year students, 3 days a week as upperclass students), where they will learn to navigate the busy NYC life of a Musical Theatre performer. Our faculty is world-class, and all are working professionals in the industry. Performance opportunities abound for our Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and our Senior Showcase (required for all Seniors) is one of the best-attended Musical Theatre BFA Showcases in NYC.

Facilities, Classrooms and Theatres: Our state-of-the-art Manhattan Center is located at 50 Broadway in the heart of Manhattan's Financial District, encompassing both studio and performance space, complete with the latest technology and architecture. The beautiful 600-seat Madison Theatre, located on Molloy's Rockville Centre campus, will also play host to student performances during their four years. The black box Hays Theatre at Molloy offers both studio and performance space for our talented students.

Scholarships/Financial Aid: Academic, Leadership and Community Service scholarships available, as well as traditional need-based financial aid.
