MICHIGAN YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS PRE-COLLEGE (MYPAP) PROGRAM
The Michigan Youth Performing Arts Pre-College (MYPAP) Program provides world-class violin, viola, cello and bass instruction for elementary through high school students. Students who participate in MYPAP will receive the following:
- Weekly private lessons with MYPAP program faculty
- Regular group classes with MYPAP program faculty
- Monthly masterclasses with MYPAP program faculty and guest artists
- Access to chamber ensembles / bi-weekly chamber music coaching
- The opportunity to perform in student recitals held twice during the MYPAP program season
Virtual Option
Students can also participate in MYPAP through an online format. Students will receive lessons over Zoom and can attend master classes / studio classes virtually. These students will also be invited to travel to Ann Arbor for the final in-person semester concerts. This opportunity is only available to students living more than 200 miles from campus.
Application Due Dates
MAY 15TH - Priority deadline for scholarship consideration / chamber music consideration
AUGUST 1ST - Rolling deadline
Only students who apply before the May 15th Priority Deadline will be considered for scholarship or chamber music.
