Welcome to Music at Oregon State University music admissions and scholarship application page.

An audition is required for admission to the Bachelor of Music program, and is required for all music majors and minors interested in being considered for scholarship assistance.  Scholarship awards are based on performance ability, experience, academics, and financial need. Students must be admitted to the university to be offered a music scholarship. 

Application Procedures

1. Apply and be accepted to Oregon State University. Apply online here.
2. Submit a scholarship and music admissions application (required for admission to the Bachelor of Music program) through the website. Audition live in-person or virtually on the following dates:
      Monday, February 16, 2026 (instrumental only)
      Saturday, February 21, 2026 (all auditions)
      Sunday, February 22, 2026 (all auditions)

If none of these dates work in your schedule, we will work to coordinate a date that will work for you.  

3. Visit here to find out more about auditioning on your instrument, or how to contact a coordinator specializing in your instrument or area.  


Notification of Results

Applicants from the February audition will be notified of the audition results by mid-March. The deadline for acceptance will be April 20.

No students can be notified of audition results until they are admitted to the university.  You can begin your Oregon State admissions application HERE

Applications will be accepted past the March date, and auditions will be scheduled as needed.
