Welcome to Music at Oregon State University music admissions and scholarship application page.

We are delighted you are interested in our music programs.  Our amazing campus sits in the mid-Willamette valley, nestled between the Cascade mountain range and the dramatic Pacific Northwest coastline, a short drive to dramatic views and great experiences. Corvallis is the quintessential college town--an ideal location to experience your college days.

While our published auditions for this year have been completed, we will still continue to accept applications for admission to the Bachelor of Music program and for music scholarship assistance through the end of July, 2024. Additional auditions may be scheduled as needed, completed online, and done in person in the fall prior to the start of school.

Oregon State was founded more than 150 years ago as a land grant institution, building on the belief that everybody deserves access to a transformational education.  It now is the largest institution in Oregon, drawing students from all 50 states and 100 countries.

At Oregon State University, you will find a talented and creative community that challenges students to become successful musicians and professional educators. With experts in music education, performance, technology and research, we educate, enlighten, engage and entertain.  Our faculty are musical leaders throughout the Northwest and beyond, prepared and invested in your musical learning. Our graduates are teaching, performing, and creating around the world!  This spring the new Reser Center for the Creative Arts will open bringing new learning and performing spaces!  Take a sneak peek at this amazing new space!

An audition is required for admission to the Bachelor of Music program, and is required for all music majors and minors interested in being considered for scholarship assistance.  Scholarship awards are based on performance ability, experience, academics and financial need.
