Ottawa University Theatre

The University’s residential campus is located in Ottawa, Kansas. With enrollment of approximately 600 students on campus, you will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere among students, as well as faculty and staff. With more than 18 majors and 30 on-campus organizations, there is something for everyone.

The OU Theatre department produces a variety of genres throughout the year that range from musicals to dramas to one-act plays. Auditions are open to theatre majors, as well as non-majors and at times community members, faculty and staff. Productions typically are shown in the Larry D. Peters Auditorium located near the center of campus in the Administration Building, seating nearly 200 guests.

Students achieve hands-on experience in every aspect of the production. Whether it is design or construction, painting or management there is a role for you.

Scholarships are available to majors and non-majors alike.
