Welcome to the online audition website for the music department at Otterbein University. We offer a Bachelor of Music Performance, a Bachelor of Music Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with available concentrations in Theory and Composition, History and Literature, and, starting in Fall 2026...Commercial Music!!!

Online Auditions for Otterbein Music
Students must apply for admission to the university before scheduling an audition.
Online auditions and the review of submission materials for students interested in a Music Major, Participation Scholarship, or Otterbein Athletic Bands will be Saturday, March 21, 2026.
If you are unable to attend this date, please contact Nico Lawson and/or music@otterbein.edu to arrange an alternative audition date.

Audition Process
As noted above, please apply for admission to Otterbein University before completing this audition process. If you submit your audition before we receive your application, we will wait until you have been admitted to Otterbein to review your submission.
To begin the audition process, choose your instrument in the Program menu to the left. The audition requirements for all degree tracks, as well as participation awards for non-majors, are the same for each instrument. For more detailed information about audition requirements, please review our "Music Audition & Scholarship Information" brochure.
Once you have selected your program, you will be taken to a page where you can upload your information, resume, and video/audio clips. Video is preferred, but audio clips will be accepted.

Notice for Students Interested in the Young Artist Scholarship
Please note that music major applicants interested in consideration for the Young Artist Scholarship should apply to the university by December 15, 2025 and complete their audition by February 21, 2026. If you want to be considered for the Young Artist Scholarship but cannot attend an audition before February 21, please reach out to music@otterbein.edu.
