Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) prepares students for lifelong learning and leadership by offering excellent undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs of study in Arts, Humanities, Sciences, and selected professions. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a private, independent university located in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, FL dedicated to the intentional integration of Christian principles and academics. As a community of learners, the university provides students with a rigorous educational environment that leads to intellectual, spiritual, and personal character development.

As performing and visual artists, we are dedicated to cultivating our distinctive contributions to society through excellence in artistic expression, arts advocacy, redemptive storytelling, and transformational experiences.

Acceptd invites visitors to explore the College of the Arts programs at PBA!

Art: As an art major at PBA you will develop your abilities as a generalist in art, while also affording you opportunity to specialize in one or more studio areas (e.g. ceramics, drawing, painting, crafts, photography, etc.). Whether you choose studio art, graphic design, or art education, you’ll be able to display your work in a variety of venues, including twice-annual shows on campus. You will live and study in an art hub, as PBA's main campus in West Palm Beach is in close proximity to the internationally acclaimed Norton Museum of Art, Henry Morrison Flagler Museum and the Society of the Four Arts.

Music: Here at PBA, our music students have the unique opportunity to receive one-on-one training by seasoned performers in our four-story, 43,000 s/f music building, and perform in our various ensembles, which have recently collaborated with partnering arts organizations such as Palm Beach Opera, Palm Beach Symphony, the Choral Society of the Palm Beaches, Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches, Society of the Four Arts, and others in the West Palm Beach and surrounding areas. These external community engagements are a distinctive of our program, and provide transformational opportunities that highlight an entrepreneurial mindset and aspiration of our program.

Dance: Whether you want a career as a dance teacher, a dance studio owner, or as a professional performing dancer, the dance major provides the option of a pedagogy track or a performance track. PBA is one of only three schools in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities to offer a major in Dance. The dance major at PBA will allow you to master a variety of dance techniques, display articulate verbal and non-verbal communication, understand dance from a historical and cultural perspective and perform with a unique artistic voice.

Theatre: You love to tell stories, connect with audiences and collaborate with others to create something that impacts the heart and the mind. You’ll do that and more as a student in the theatre program at PBA. At PBA, you'll enhance your acting skills for both stage and screen, and musical theatre, preparing you for a successful career. At PBA Theatre we strive to connect with each other and our audience, commit to the work, and create engaging and meaningful art.

Cinema Arts: Film and television - two extremely powerful mediums. Both elements are heavily covered and taught in Palm Beach Atlantic University's Cinema Arts program, one of the topnotch departments in the country. The Cinema Arts program of study offers a superb training from a Christian perspective in the art of effective, dynamic, and redemptive storytelling through motion pictures and television. 

University Admission
While you are welcome to begin your fine arts application for the College of the Arts, all applicants must begin a general application to Palm Beach Atlantic University through the Admissions Office before scheduling an audition or interview, this includes digital auditions and interviews as well. Offers of admission into the University are made on a rolling basis, and you will be assigned an Admission Counselor to guide you through the process. Please begin your application by clicking here!

We would love for you to come visit our campus in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida! The Office of Admissions offers tours Monday – Friday and on various Saturdays.
