2024 RDA Online Scholarship & Recruitment Process

RDA Dancers & Alumni:  The online scholarship & recruitment process includes:
-  Summer and winter intensive program acceptances & scholarships,
-  2024 RDA National Choreography Intensive dancer acceptances & scholarships,
-  2024 RDA National Training Program scholarships, and
-  Year-round recruitment opportunities - college & university programs and/or professional training programs.

To apply for scholarship and recruitment opportunities, please first create an account at getacceptd.com (see below for more details). Then complete the 2024 RDA Scholarship & Recruitment Online Application and submit along with the requested attachments and payment. As a reminder, a dancer must review scholarship selections with their RDA Artistic Director prior to completing this online application. If applying for year-round professional training programs, a letter of support from the dancer's RDA Artistic Director must accompany the dancer's application. 

To ensure each applicant is considered, the applicant must be a dancer with (or alumni of) an RDA Member Company, must be a registered RDA Associate for the 2024 season, must have an account at getacceptd.com, and must complete this online form with all requested attachments, and provide payment at the time of submission. All online applications are due Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:59pm.

2024 RDA National Choreography Intensive ("NCI"): Choreographers & Non-RDA Dancers

Choreographers & Non-RDA Dancers: To apply for acceptance into the 2024 RDA National Choreography Intensive, please first create an account at getacceptd.com (see below for more details). Then complete your application and submit along with the requested attachments and payment. *RDA Dancers will audition for NCI Dancer acceptances and scholarships through the 2024 Online Scholarship & Recruitment Process - see above.

To ensure each applicant is considered, Choreographers must be at least 16 years of age by June 17, 2024 and Non-RDA Dancers must be at least 13 years of age by June 17, 2024, must have an account at getacceptd.com, and must complete this online form with all requested attachments, and provide payment at the time of submission. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified on a rolling basis. 

2024 RDA National Training Program ("NTP"): Non-RDA Dancer Track

Non-RDA Dancers: To apply for acceptance into the 2024 RDA National Training Program, please first create an account at getacceptd.com (see below for more details). Then complete your application and submit along with the requested attachments and payment. *RDA Dancers are automatically accepted to the Training Program and may audition for scholarships through the 2024 Online Scholarship & Recruitment Process - see above.

To ensure each applicant is considered, Non-RDA Dancers must be at least 12 years of age by June 17, 2024, must have an account at getacceptd.com, and must complete this online form with all requested attachments, and provide payment at the time of submission. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified on a rolling basis. 

All online applications will open December 15, 2023 are due Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:59pm.


Creating your Acceptd Account

*Applicants ages 16 and over:

Create your Applicant Account.

1. Go to getacceptd.com and click ‘Log In’ in the upper right-hand corner 
2. Click ‘Don't have an Acceptd account? Sign Up!’ at the bottom 
3. Select ‘I am applying for myself’
4. Create your account 
5. Verify email address

*Applicants under the age of 16:

Dancers under the age of 16 are required to have a Parent/Teacher account associated with their account. Guardians, please FIRST create the Parent/Teacher account, THEN create the dancer account. 

1. Create the Parent/Teacher Account
   1. Go to getacceptd.com and click ‘Log In’ in the upper right-hand corner 
   2. Click ‘Don't have an Acceptd account? Sign Up!’ at the bottom 
   3. Select ‘I am applying for someone else’
   4. Follow the simple steps in this guided video
   5. Verify email address
2. Create the Dancer (“Applicant”) Account
   1. Log into the Parent/Teacher account you’ve already set up
   2. Select ‘Add Student’
   3. Follow the simple steps in this guided video starting at 2:23
   4. Verify email address, if applicable

Fee Waivers:

You may be eligible for the application fee to be waived. Please visit the Acceptd Help Desk to find out more about requesting a few waiver for your application.

Discoverable Profile:

If you would like to search around on the Acceptd platform but would not like for your profile to be visible to others, you may switch your profile from ‘discoverable’ to ‘not discoverable’.

1. Navigate to your headshot on your profile
2. Select ‘Edit Account’ from the dropdown menu
3. Uncheck the box next to ‘Make my profile discoverable’
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Account Details’
