The renowned violinist NELLI SHKOLNIKOVA taught for many years at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her unique style of teaching is recognised worldwide and produced many wonderful musicians. In hommage to Nelli Shkolnikova, her former students continue her legacy by inviting talented and motivated violin, viola, cello and piano students aged 14 and older to an intensive string and chamber music retreat at the Chateau de La Flocellière in France from August 4 - 14, 2025.

Students at the Shkolnikova Academy are granted private lessons on their instrument, chamber music coachings, large string ensembles, masterclasses and performance opportunities in a convivial and nurturing atmosphere.
Unique to this Academy is the possibility for students to take lessons from a variety of faculty members. Our international faculty is composed of musicians who hold positions in the world's top orchestras and conservatories, allowing students to discover a variety of approaches that stem from the same tradition. The Academy also offers workshops in orchestral repertoire, audition preparation, and alternative styles.
This season Shkolnikova Academy will hold its first concerto competition. The competition is open to all violin, viola and cello applicants to the Academy who submit a recording. The winners will have the opportunity to perform solo with the 2025 Academy string orchestra led by Dmitry Sitkovetsky, and receive a scholarship to the Academy.
The deadline for the application with recording is January 1st, 2025 and the winner will be announced January 15th, 2025. Please visit www.shkolnikovaacademy.com for more details.
Faculty for 2025 includes members of the San Francisco Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Monte Carlo Philharmonic, amongst others and professors at the superior conservatories of Europe. For a detailed list of 2025 faculty members please visit www.shkolnikovaacademy.com
Tuition for the 2025 academy is 1200 euros and includes all private lessons, chamber coachings, rehearsals and performances with professional pianists, concerts, masterclasses and workshops.
Shared room and full board on the grounds of the Chateau is available for 800 euros. Depending on availability, single and luxury rooms may be available for an additional fee.
