ABOUT US:
Short North Stage is a professional non-profit regional theater company located in the heart of the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio. As an SPT Tier 6 Equity theater we produce 6 musicals, 1 play, and occasional special performances in our season. We love to feature exciting new takes on classics, edgy and provocative new works, and stories that will truly resonate with our audiences. Our mission to feature creative teams, onstage talent, and offstage talent with diverse, unique voices remains strong as we continuously look for qualified applicants.

2023-24 SEASON AUDITIONS!
We are currently accepting submissions for online & NYC talent for our entire season. If you are talent living in NYC (or that is your preferred place to audition) please submit for the NYC auditions happening the week of September 12th. If you will not be in NYC that week please submit via the Online Submissions program.
DEADLINE FOR NYC/ONLINE SUBMISSIONS IS SEPTEMBER 6th. We cast continuously - the sooner you submit, the better!
Please submit your audition to the correct program. Choose from the options in the left hand corner of this page.
*Online - if you do not have local housing and/or can NOT attend auditions in NYC.
*NYC Auditions - if you can attend auditions the week of September 12th.
Online & NYC submission deadline is September 6th.
NYC Submissions are open with in person callbacks happening the week of September 12th.
EPA in NYC September 12th - sign up via the AEA online portal.
Equity (AEA) and Non-Equity contracts available. Housing, travel stipend, and gym provided for out of town actors.

Rehearsals run Tuesdays thru Fridays typically 6-10:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm. Tech days are longer.
Shows are Thursdays thru Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm. Some shows include Saturday matinees and Wednesday evenings. If you are unable to perform in all show dates please do not audition.

Please submit:
- Headshot
- Resume
- Video - Include a Slate/Hello Intro, Choose of 2 songs from the callback material from the season. This is your chance to shine so pick your favorites for roles you love and think you would be good to be cast in. Songs and Tracks have been provided.
- Monologue in the style of Which Way To The Stage if interested in the play - the play is available to read.
- Movement/Dance Reel (if you have one), Video dance callbacks with material will be sent out to those with a callback.
