- No Out-of-State tuition. You get the same tuition rate as local students.
- Generous academic scholarships. Meet the GPA requirements and automatically be awarded up to $22,000.
- Competitive academic scholarships for freshman and transfer students with awards up to $102,000 (full tuition/fees, room and board, and books guaranteed for four years). The deadline to be considered is October 30. For more info, please go to https://scholarships.siu.edu/.

- Play piano? The Steven Barwick Piano Scholarship is one of the top scholarships available for aspiring concert pianists. Come to SIU and study with two dedicated faculty members with degrees from Eastman and the Manhattan School of Music.
