Songbook South

Songbook South invites all talented high school vocalists who are legal residents of the U.S. to apply for our Songbook South Inspiration Weekend High School Vocal Competition:Great American Songbook Edition that will be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Please read all the rules and guidelines for the program (also those on our website), carefully, before submitting your application; select your program in the drop down menu on your left, under “Start an Application” to learn more.

You must complete this pre-screening process, fully, in order to be considered as a finalist for the vocal competition. After all applicants have been screened, 10 finalists will be selected to compete live on stage in Shreveport.

How to Apply

1. Film your two contrasting songs (up tempo and ballad) in the genre specified.
2. Complete the application process on Acceptd and upload your videos.
3. Pay the $50 non-refundable application fee, which includes the $35 Acceptd platform fee.
4. Click SUBMIT by July 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
