Summer Music in Tuscany was founded more than a decade ago to provide the opportunity for musicians to have an authentic experience of Italian living while we enjoy making music together. We offer great music to the people of Sarteano and surrounding area, and the people of Sarteano share their cultural heritage with us. Concerts and master classes will be held in the historic 45-box Teatro degli Arrischianti in the center of town.

For our summer 2025 program July 14-29, 2025, we invite applicants for vocal studies, string studies (cello, violin, viola), wind studies (flute, clarinet, oboe, horn, bassoon), percussion or piano studies. Language of instruction is English. We offer each student an opportunity to study and perform to very high standards in a beautiful setting. We foster a non-competitive, supportive environment led by our experienced teaching artists.

We offer two Festival Participation levels: The Studio Artist (one week July 14-22 or two week July 14-29) and Festival Artist (2 week, July 14-29). The Studio Artist is an adult beginner student who has usually studied less than 5 years, or is a avocational musician, or someone recently returning to their musical studies. The Festival Artist is a high level musician, either an advanced undergraduate or graduate student or professional musician.

We: set up your musical experience: gathering faculty, providing gorgeous venues for performance and classes, and curating a list of cultural experience that you can choose from.
