The Summer Strings Academy for Girls is an educational summer festival for female-identifying string students. The SSAG is dedicated to creating a safe space to uplift, empower, and inspire young women. During the 2-week academy, students will receive weekly private lessons from our all-female faculty, perform in studio and master classes with guest artists, participate in discussions with pioneering women in the classical music industry, and watch virtual concerts by some of today's most exciting performers. The SSAG strives to ignite a shift in the world of classical music education by providing our students with the confidence, knowledge, and skills necessary for navigating this male-dominated industry.
Dates: July 1st - Orientation and Welcome
July 4th - 8th: Week 1
July 11th - 15th: Week 2
Location: Zoom from your room!
Cost: $2,000 USD *There is an abundance of scholarship money available to students! Please inquire by email to be considered for scholarship*
*Early-Bird Special: Enroll by April 15th for a $500 discount.*
Participants will get:
- Weekly Private Lessons with SSAG Faculty
- Weekly Studio classes with SSAG Faculty
- Weekly Group technique class with SSAG Faculty
- Weekly Masterclasses with SSAG Guest Artists
- Seminars on injury prevention, performance anxiety management, and more!
- A supportive community of mentors, teachers, and peers!
Important Dates for Participants:
- March 1st: Applications Open
- April 15th: "Early-Bird" Enrollment Deadline
- June 15th: Final Application Deadline
- July 1st: SSAG Begins!

Schedule:
All SSAG activities are scheduled Monday - Friday, between 12-6pm EST.

Auditors will get:

Auditor Fee: $250 USD for everything, or $50 per class.
