The Summer University Theatre Experience (SUTE) is a two week program designed for Rising Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Gap Year students to give them the opportunity to work with the top Acting and Musical Theatre University Faculty selected from the most competitive University Theatre programs in the U.S. This two week California-based program is designed for students to hone their craft as they learn about the different styles of teaching and programs in preparation for their upcoming College Auditions.

All of the faculty members at SUTE are, or have been, auditors for their programs. They have had thousands of students audition for them. They understand what it takes to give a fabulous audition and it's a great chance for them to get to know you.

SUTE 2024 will be located on the gorgeous Loyola Marymount University campus in Los Angeles, near LAX. Housing is available.

  • Acting Track
Offers classes in scene study, monologue prep, Shakespeare, voice, movement, improvisation, text analysis, interview tips and techniques, and much more. Students are challenged to explore the creative process necessary for a successful College Audition. Each faculty member discusses the different aspects of their program and audition process.

  • Musical Theatre Track
Offers students the opportunity to learn different vocal techniques and styles and gives them the chance to perform potential audition material for feedback on their song choice as well as how to act their song. Musical Theatre students learn about the importance of vocal health. Along with their singing training, students participate in acting classes. They will also experience the rigors of a University level Musical Theatre dance class. Each faculty member discusses the different aspects of their program and audition process.

  • SUTE UP For Rising Juniors
Designed for Rising Juniors and Sophomores SUTE UP focuses on what students need to work on during their Sophomore/Junior Year in High School in preparation for the summer before their Senior Year and their Senior Year. SUTE UP is highly selective and enrollment is limited. Classes will include Song Rep, Vocal Health and Techniques, Acting Techniques, Dance Techniques and Audition Techniques. SUTE UP students work with the same incredible MT Faculty as the MT Track.
