About the Tanglewood Music Center
The Tanglewood Music Center is the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer academy for advanced musical study, located in the scenic Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The TMC offers an intensive schedule of study and performance for emerging professional instrumentalists, singers, conductors, composers, and librarians who have completed most of their formal training in music. Tuition, housing, meals and bus transportation between the dormitory and the Tanglewood campus are provided at no charge to participants for the duration of the TMC season.
