The Boyer College of Music and Dance is a diverse offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in performance, choral conducting, jazz, music technology, voice and opera, keyboard, dance, music education, music theory, composition, music history and music therapy. Boyer is located on Temple's main campus and is located in close proximity to the City’s historic cultural institutions, including the Kimmel Cultural Campus, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Opera Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, Philadanco and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Boyer is part of the Center for Performing and Cinematic Arts at Temple University and offers students numerous opportunities to perform with large and small ensembles, many of which perform regularly at the Temple Performing Arts Center, Kimmel Cultural Campus, Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Boyer offers numerous concerts, performances, master classes, lectures, faculty and guest artist recitals, most all of which are free and all of which are open to the public.
