Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies is a three-week summer intensive study and advanced practicum in symphony-orchestra performance, applied performance practice, preparation, rehearsal and related study for University and High School orchestra musicians.

Participation as a Fellow of the Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies is intended for musicians who are currently engaged in or have recently completed the study of instrumental music at the high school (aged 14 years and older), undergrad and graduate level. 

Rehearsal and performances will be conducted by Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Laureate Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Mesquite (Texas) Symphony Orchestra Music Director Felix Torres, Texas Christian University Director of Orchestral Studies Germán Augusto Gutiérrez and others.

Enrollment may be for all three weeks, any two weeks or any one week.  In the application, you will have the opportunity to tell us which weeks you can attend or if you wish to enroll for all weeks.
