FordLab: a Producing Partnership Program

Congratulations! You have been selected to apply to The Ford's 2025 FordLab, the LA Phil's producing partnership program. For the last 30 years, The Ford has invited the Los Angeles creative community to be part of their annual summer season through different iterations of producing partnerships.

FordLab is the next evolution in our commitment to independent artists, presenters, producers, or producing collectives to present in partnership with the LA Phil at The Ford. Throughout its history, the program has supported hundreds of local arts organizations and producers. Originally a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission (Department of Arts & Culture), The Ford's summer season provides the opportunity for Los Angeles music, dance, film, and drama to be produced in one of Los Angeles’ most historic venues. This program serves as an incubator and accelerator program for the ideas of new and emerging voices. The program also welcomes more seasoned producers who present unique ideas that challenge their creative and professional boundaries while reaching diverse audiences.

Application Process
Now that you have been invited to apply, please select FordLab Program 2025 from the drop-down menu underneath Start an Application. Once selected, please read the Guidelines tab carefully. Once ready to submit your application, you may begin the application process and save to return to finish at a later time. All applications must be submitted by the deadline to be considered. Any incomplete applications will not be reviewed or considered. You will be notified through Acceptd Messages tab if your application is selected to move forward to schedule an interview.

There are no fees to apply to the program.
Only fully completed and submitted applications will be considered.
Unfinished and draft applications will not be considered.
Late submissions will not be accepted.

General Instructions for first-time use:

• Create your free Acceptd account here! 
• Click the "I Am Applying For Myself" button. 
• You will then be prompted to sign up with your email and create a password
• Enter your information (name, email, and interests) and create your account.
• Verify your email address and log in for the first time.
• Under “Application Tracker” enter “The Ford” in the search field
• Click on “View” and then “start an application” to navigate to our landing page.
• Select "FordLab Program 2025" under the "Start an Application” on the left column.
• Click the green "Apply to FordLab Program 2025" button to begin your application!

What happens Next?
Applications are due October 11, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
If invited to interview, you will be asked to schedule a 30-minute interview for the week of December 2.
You will be notified through Acceptd Messages tab of next steps by the week of December 16.
