Audition Information

The Taipei Music Academy and Festival (TMAF) is an international and educational music festival held annually in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2025, maestro Fabio Luisi will lead the TMAF Orchestra, alongside concertmasters and section principals from prestigious ensembles such as the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Jerusalem Quartet. The esteemed faculty also includes professors from the Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Kronberg Academy.

The concert  program includes the Brahms Tragic Overture, Op. 81, the Strauss Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, Op. 28, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathétique."

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

A completed application form, required video recordings uploaded on Acceptd, and application fee must be received by March 15, 2025*.

We will not hold live auditions, nor receive materials by postal mail. Please submit your video audition materials online.

VIDEO RECORDING GUIDELINES

• We accept audition repertoire in single or multiple uploads. Any indication of editing will result in the disqualification of the applicant.
• Live concert video recordings within the past 12 months can be used in the solo repertoire category.
• We strongly recommend that you check the quality of your recordings before submitting.
• Piano accompaniment is recommended for concertos but not required.

Winds: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone / Bass Trombone

AGE LIMIT

15 - 30 as of August 1, 2025.

RESULTS

Audition results will be announced in April 2025.

PROGRAM PERIOD

CURRICULUM

• Individualized Instruction: Benefit from 3 personalized lessons, designed to elevate your technique and artistry under the guidance of exceptional faculty.
• Orchestral Excellence: Experience 12 hours of intensive rehearsals and perform in three concerts alongside all-star faculty, held in world-renowned concert halls.
• Chamber Music Immersion: Engage in 10+ hours of chamber music coaching/rehearsal alongside all star faculty members, culminating in a prestigious performance at the National Concert Recital Hall, and boost resume status.
• Mastery Beyond the Stage: Participate in masterclasses, studio classes, and mock auditions to refine your performance skills and build confidence for high-pressure scenarios.
• Inspiring Discussions: Join forums and personal discussions designed to deepen your understanding of music and foster meaningful connections with faculty and peers.

TUITION

• Tuition: US $2,000
• Room and Board : US $500

SCHOLARSHIP

• TMAF offers numerous merit-based and need-based scholarships.
• Grants for travel and lodging are available.
• All applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships.
• After the acceptance to TMAF is offered, one could apply for the Need-based scholarships if it is needed

LODGING AND FOOD

• Tuition does not include the cost for room and board.
• Dormitory accommodation (Double Room ) is available on TNUA campus. Should you request a single room, you are responsible for the extra charge.
• Campus lodging is not a requirement. However, we strongly recommend staying on campus to experience the various activities offered by TMAF.
• The cost for room and board includes daily breakfast and lunch. TMAF will cover meals on concert nights and during concert tours.

TRAVEL

TMAF will provide transportation and lodging during the concert tour.

2025台北大師星秀音樂節
申請須知

台北大師星秀音樂節（Taipei Music Academy & Festival，以下簡稱TMAF）創立於2019年，以臺灣為基地，致力於打造世界級的教學型國際音樂節。2025年台北大師星秀音樂節將由國際知名指揮大師法比奧‧路易西 （Fabio Luisi）帶領TMAF管弦樂團巡迴演出，並由來自大都會歌劇院管弦樂團、紐約愛樂、洛杉磯愛樂、克里夫蘭管弦樂團、費城管弦樂團、芝加哥交響樂團、達拉斯交響樂團以及耶路撒冷四重奏等頂尖樂團的首席及音樂家參與演出。此外，音樂節師資還包括茱莉亞音樂學院、曼哈頓音樂學院與克倫伯格音樂學院等國際頂尖音樂學府教授。

演出曲目包括：布拉姆斯《悲劇序曲》、理查．史特勞斯《狄爾的惡作劇》以及柴科夫斯基第六號交響曲《悲愴》。

報名程序

甄選者請於2025年3月15日*前，於Acceptd填妥線上申請表、上傳規定之甄選影片及繳交報名費方為完成線上報名程序。

本甄選僅限線上報名，不受理現場演奏及郵寄甄選資料。

甄選影片錄製規範

• 甄選影片能以單個或多個影像上傳至報名網站。若甄選影像顯示曾被編輯，將失去申請資格。
• 甄選曲目中之獨奏曲目或協奏曲，可使用一年內之音樂會實況錄影。
• 建議您上傳影片前先仔細查看錄製內容及品質。
• 協奏曲建議搭配鋼琴伴奏，但並非絕對必要。

音樂節期程

2025年7月27日至8月10日

課程

• 個別指導：每位學員接受三堂個別課，在頂尖師資的指導下，提升您的技巧與藝術表現。
• 管弦樂精進：12小時的管弦樂團集訓，並與明星師資共同在國家級音樂殿堂演出三場音樂會。
• 沉浸式室內樂體驗：超過10小時的室內樂指導與排練，與明星師資密切合作，最終將在國家兩廳院演奏廳展現成果，為您的演出經歷增添亮點。
• 舞臺以外的精進：透過參與大師班、工作坊及模擬甄選等課程，精進您的演奏技能，並增強在面對挑戰的自信心。
• 啟發性的討論：參加研討會與課外交流，深化您對音樂的理解，並與導師及同儕建立深刻且有意義的情誼。

學費及食宿費

• 學費：美金2,000元（約新臺幣65,000元）
• 食宿費：美金500元（約新臺幣16,250元）

總計：美金2,500元（約新臺幣81,250元）

註：匯率目前以美金1元 = 新臺幣32.5元計算，新臺幣價格會因匯率變動而調整。

獎學金

• TMAF提供獎學金及助學補助。
• TMAF提供額外交通與住宿補助申請。
• 獎學金不須特別申請，將與錄取通知同時核發。
• 助學補助（包括交通、住宿補助）需在錄取後，視需求另案填表申請。
  
  

住宿與餐飲

• 學費不包含食宿費。
• 宿舍位於國立臺北藝術大學學生宿舍（雙人房）；若欲升等為單人房，需自付額外升等費用。
• 學員可選擇住宿校外，但建議住宿校園以方便參與音樂節之各項活動。
• 食宿費包含每日早、午二餐。音樂會當天及巡迴演出期間之飲食，由TMAF統一提供。
  

交通

TMAF將提供所有學員音樂會當天、以及巡迴演出期間之交通住宿。
