Texas Tech University School of Art

Welcome to Texas Tech School of Art (SOA)!  Immerse yourself in a creative environment of artists, designers, scholars, and educators, from a wide number of countries, and from all across Texas. You'll find that learning can take place both inside and outside the classroom. Through mentoring, demonstrations, and independent and collaborative projects, your work will be honed, shaped, and strengthened. 

Undergraduate Degrees:

All SOA incoming undergraduates go through a year of Art Foundations their first year. The program starts with the basics, grounding you in the fundamentals of artmaking, and ends with a declaration of your area of specialization: Art Education, Art History, Graphic Design, Studio Art, .

Applying to the School of Art is a two-step process. First, you must complete your application to Texas Tech University through the CommonApp or ApplyTexas on the TTU Admissions website. Once admitted to Texas Tech, you are officially admitted to the Arts Foundation program in the School of Art! If you'd like to be considered for talent-based scholarships, you may complete the application in Acceptd. The School of Art will waive the $35 Acceptd application fee for all prospective undergraduate scholarship applicants.
