Dear Prospective Students and Parents:

Thank you for visiting Texas State University on Acceptd!

Welcome to the pre-screening audition website for the Texas State University BFA programs in Acting and Musical Theatre 2020-21 year.

To begin, please be sure to visit the audition requirements website for the program you wish to apply: Musical Theatre or Acting. You may audition for both programs and only be charged ONE application fee. However, you must apply for both programs separately.

Once you have selected your program, you will then be directed to a page where you can create a profile page to upload your headshot, resume, video clips, and other pertinent information. You will also find detailed information about auditioning for our programs. Please note that the fee is only required on your first application. For any subsequent applications, please enter the following coupon code in the payment section of the application: 02txst21.

Please Note: you are required to provide two letters of recommendation. You may upload this documentation via Acceptd or have these materials sent directly to the University at the following email address: theatreletters@txstate.edu.
Your first and last name must be included in the subject line of the email.

You must complete this pre-screening process and pay the $70 application fee in order to be considered for a callback. You are required to apply to the university in addition to the program you are interested in: Musical Theatre or Acting. Both applications should be submitted at the same time. Before you can schedule a callback, your University application must be complete.

When applying to the university please declare your major as Pre-Theatre. This goes for all of our undergraduate degree programs.
