The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) has several options available for students wishing to study music in college. Whether you’re interested in earning a bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Music in Performance, Music Therapy, Jazz Studies, or in one of many concentrations like Music Business, Music Technology & Recording, Music Theory/Composition, or Classical Guitar Studies, we have the program for you.
As a UIndy music student, you will have the chance to engage with top-rated, internationally known faculty, experience performances in a world-class venue, and connect in a close-knit educational environment – all within minutes of downtown Indianapolis. Students within our various programs have won several national championships, and you should expect to receive a variety of performance opportunities with a diverse repertoire in a more intimate environment.
At UIndy, we prepare our students with the training necessary to earn a master’s degree in their music area of choice. Our Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center performance hall (video) provides an exquisite, Viennese-style space in which a special acoustic design produces thrilling sound. And because of our close proximity to the downtown area and the Fountain Square district, UIndy students are exposed to a vibrate setting for internship opportunities as well as culturally engaging opportunities with the local community.
