Welcome to the online portal to submit music audition materials to University of Northwestern – St. Paul, an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Northwestern offers more than 70 different program options, including six graduate degrees and five music degrees/programs: music performance, music education, music composition, music ministry, and the Bachelor of Arts or Science in Music. Over 300 students participate in music ensembles!

Music is a dual admission program. Students must be admitted to both Northwestern (unwsp.edu/apply) and the Department of Music & Theatre in order to major in music.

Apply: The online Music Audition Application is required for new students who plan to major in music and also serves as the application for music scholarship consideration for all students. Students may apply for a music merit scholarship regardless of their major.

Deadlines: 

  1. 2022–23: Applications for Fall 2022 still accepted. Scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds distributed. Please apply today!
  2. 2023–24: Applications will open August 1, 2022 for on-campus dates in November 2022 and February 2023.
