Eligibility Requirements:
Students who wish to be music majors or minors at the University of Southern Maine must formally apply to the University and must audition before the music faculty.  Reservations should preferably be received at least one week prior to your audition date. All students auditioning by February 14, 2025 are eligible for Osher School of Music scholarship consideration.  These awards are in addition to University of Southern Maine merit scholarships. Please note, your decision date cannot be confirmed until your application to the University of Southern Maine Office of Admissions has been received.

While always preferable to audition in person, the option to upload audition videos through Get Acceptd is available. If choosing this option, please prepare your performance audition and upload directly into the media section of the application. All audition materials must be uploaded prior to your chosen audition decision date. Interviews, portfolio reviews, theory and aural skills diagnostic testing will be completed online on your selected date.

A $35 application fee is required to apply to the Osher School of Music. You can apply for a fee waiver through Acceptd. If you are not eligible for the waiver, please do not hesitate to contact us if this hinders the submission of your application.
